New Zealand National Hindu Conference (NZNHC) 2026
6th Edition, Since 2007
Theme: Growing Communities, Thriving New Zealand
The Hindu Council of
New Zealand (HCNZ) is proud to announce the 6th New Zealand National Hindu
Conference (NZNHC) 2026, to be held on Saturday, 16 May 2026, at the Swaminarayan
Complex, Papatoetoe, Auckland.
Under the inspiring theme “Growing
Communities, Thriving New Zealand”, this landmark event will bring
together Hindu community leaders, youth, academics, practitioners, and friends
from across Aotearoa for a day of meaningful dialogue, practical action
planning, and community celebration.
Now in its sixth year, the National Hindu
Conference is the premier annual gathering of the Hindu community in New
Zealand. This year’s programme addresses the most pressing challenges and
opportunities facing Kiwi Hindus today — from political representation and
media visibility, to youth identity, cultural preservation, and cross-diaspora
unity.
The conference features six substantive
sessions led by distinguished speakers, panellists, and community leaders:
- Session 1 — Working with Government Agencies: Safety, Education, Settlement and Ethnic Community Support
- Session 2 — Hindu Youth: Navigating Identity, Leadership and Belonging in Aotearoa
- Session 3 — One Hindu Community: Bridging Diaspora Divides and Building Unity Across Cultures
- Session 4 — Positioning Hindus in Politics, Public Administration, Judiciary and Police
- Session 5 — Positioning Hindus in Academia and Media: Amplifying Our Voice, Combating Misrepresentation
- Session 6 — Strengthening Our Pillars: Temples, Language, Cultural and Denominational Organisations in Service of the Hindu Community
We warmly invite all members of the Hindu
community and interested New Zealanders to attend the conference as registered
delegates. Spaces are limited, so early registration is encouraged.
Registration Fee: $50 per delegate (includes all
sessions, morning and evening tea, and lunch)
Concession: Elderly delegates are welcome to bring one
companion free of charge as a complimentary guest.
Group Bookings: Special rates available for community
organisations registering five or more delegates. Please enquire.
For registration enquiries, please contact: info@hcnz.org
